Method Date |
2000/08/22
Method Type |
Confirmatory, Quantitative
Scope and Application |
Applicable for analysis of daminozide in apples with a reporting limit of 0.04 microgram per gram
Method Summary |
A sample (25.0 grams) is hydrolized in NaOH and distilled in salicylaldehyde. Glacial acetic acid, saturated NaCl solution and toluene are added before analysis by GC-MSD with separation on an Ultra 1 Capillary Column (25 meter, 0.2 mm, 0.33 micrometer)
Applicable Concentration Range |
Daminozide may be detected in the concentration range 0.04 to 0.20 microgram per gram in apples. This is equivalent to 0.015 to 0.075 microgram per gram of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine.
