Category Anthelminthics
Drug Class Name Macrocyclic lactones
Method Title Determination of Ivermectin, Doramectin, and Moxidectin by HPLC
Method Date 2011/03/28
Method Type Screening, Quantitative
Scope and Application The method is suitable for screening/quantifying the anthelmintics Doramectin, Ivermectin and Moxidectin in liver and muscle (as well as their processed products) of bovine, ovine, porcine, caprine and equine species.
Method Summary Doramectin, Ivermectin and Moxidectin are extracted (by vortexing and centrifugation) from tissue with acetonitrile and cleanedup using alumina chromatographic material. The analytes are derivatized with trifluoroacetic anhydride/1-methylimidazole and determined by HPLC connected to a Fluorescence detector
Applicable Concentration Range Doramectin, Ivermectin and Moxidectin may be screened and quantified at the concentration level ≥ 7.5µgkg-1.
