The Initiative and Organizing Committee of the Working Group on Tephritids of Europe, Africa and the Middle East (TEAM) will convene the first organizational meeting of the group on 11th of May 2005 in the facilities of the IAEA in Vienna, Austria.
The purpose of the meeting is (a) to discuss issues regarding the establishment of the TEAM, (b) to introduce TEAM to the scientific community, (c) to address the importance of such a professional group for Europe Africa and the Middle East, (d) to identify possible founding sources, to define the directions of the Group, and (e) to elect a steering committee and the first governing board.
On behalf of the Initiative and Organizing Committee I would like to invite you to participate to the first meeting of the Working Group on Tephritids of Europe, Africa and the Middle East (TEAM). I wanted also to ask you to spread the word to other fruit fly workers you might know.
For those of you who are interested either to participate to the first meeting, or/and to join TEAM please reply to this e-mail.
I should be glad if you let me know at your earlier convenience whether you are able to participate to the first TEAM meeting, and/or you are interested to join TEAM.
