IAEA-S-1 , Silver Sulfide

Materials with known 34S/32S isotopic composition

IAEA-S-1* silver sulfide was prepared by B. W. Robinson, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. The starting material for IAEA-S-1 was sphalerite provided by S. Halas, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, Lublin, Poland with δ34S vs. VCDT near 0 [1, 2]. IAEA-S-1 is the calibration material for the VCDT scale [3]. Its δ34S value is defined in respect to VCDT and therefore bears no associated uncertainty.
