Toxicology
Mammals: Acute oral LD50 for rats and mice >15,000, for guinea pigs and rabbits >10,000 mg/kg. Acute percutaneous LD50 values are the same as corresponding oral ones. No skin irritation. In 180-day feeding trials, rats receiving 8000 mg/kg diet showed no ill-effects apart from a reduction in weight. Fish: LC50 (24,48, and 72 hours) for carp >20.0 mg/l. Bees: Not toxic to bees.
