Local organizers web site

The meeting will be hosted by the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Hefei, China) and will take place in Suzhou, China.

Suzhou is about 100 km west of Shanghai. All participants are recommended to travel to Shanghai first. In Shanghai there are two airports for international flights and two train stations for transit to Suzhou by high speed train.

If arriving at Shanghai Pudong Airport, then one needs to take an airport shuttle bus. This bus runs every 15–25 minutes, arriving at either Shanghai Railway Station or Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. The journey takes two hours and costs approximately US $3. One can also take a subway train, which runs every 5–10 minutes and also reaches either of these two railway stations. The journey takes about 1.5 hours and costs approximately US $1.5.

If arriving at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, one has to walk about 600 m to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and then take a high speed train. The high speed train connects either of the two railway stations in Shanghai with Suzhou, and it runs every 2–20 minutes. The journey takes less than 30 minutes and costs about US $6 for a second class seat and US $10 for a first class seat.

Travellers can also arrive at Beijing Airport, which is about 1200 km north of Suzhou, or Guangzhou Airport, which is about 1400 km south of Suzhou, and then take a high speed train to Suzhou. In both cases the journey takes about five hours.

Participants who require a visa to enter China should submit the necessary application to the nearest diplomatic or consular representative of China as soon as possible.

A letter of invitation can be requested from the local organizers by e-mail. Please contact Ms Qianqian Qiu by e-mail or phone: +86 551 65595030.
