______________________________________________________________ TEAM Meeting France: change in deadlines
Dear TEAM members, We hope you, your colleagues and your families are all in good health. We also hope that you can cope with the, sometimes difficult, changed working conditions. We realize the current situation has a great impact on your (research) activities.
Regarding the planned TEAM meeting in France, scheduled for early October this year. Currently the organizing committee has decided not to cancel or postpone the meeting as of yet. The situation regarding lockdown, possibilities for international travel, large events, etc in the near or distant future is still uncertain. We may get (partial) relief of some measures in the months to come or not; nobody knows for sure.
I would like to express my thanks to Valérie Balmés and the other members of the organizing committee for their handling of the organisation of this meeting. The situation is not easy and needs close monitoring. As far as practical arrangements are concerned for the organizing committee, there are no major financial implications for not calling off the meeting at this moment, so we decided to wait and see. Probably near the end of June, we will have to take a final decision.
We did, however, change the deadlines for early registration and submission of abstracts. These are now extended till July 1st, 2020.
Please check the TEAM website (https://www.alphavisa.com/team/2020/) for the latest information. We will keep you updated on any further changes or decisions. Please bear with us in these difficult period.
Take care of yourself and those close to you.
